Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere. When the earthquake hit in 2010, it left an already disastrous country completely and catastrophically stricken. Orphaned children were left wandering the streets. Our son, Charles, and his wife stepped up and started their ministry, Relief for Kids in Haiti. The motto of this ministry is: No-one can help everyone in need, but God asks us to do what we can to help someone. Relief for Kids in Haiti provides a home and education for those children effected by extreme poverty in Haiti.
The Brooke Ryan Ministry is run by our daughter-in-law who is a Christian author and contemporary recording artist. Her newest album features inspiring songs that she wrote and performs. Brooke’s book entitled “Faith, Grace, and Conquering the Impossible” is the story of how the Lord brought her through growing up in a divided home plagued by domestic violence fueled by her stepfather’s binge alcoholism. It tells how the Lord brought her through single parenthood; how He placed her on the road to achieving her elusive goal of becoming a physician and helped Brooke conquer the impossible. This is a truly inspiring story that will encourage young people to believe in their dreams and know that God will bless their efforts.
